Chatsworth Parent Group (CPG)
The CPG is a group of Chatsworth parents and guardians who meet together, as needed, to work on events and initiatives that can assist the school and the greater school community. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend any or all of the meetings, usually held on the first Monday of every month. There is no formal joining process; you automatically become a member of the CPG upon your child's enrollment. You may volunteer for something you are interested in or have time for without coming to a meeting.
We always look forward to seeing new faces from all parts of the school community so come along to one of our meetings and have a cup of coffee or tea, or send us an email about something you want to get involved in. Some of the previous projects we have been involved in are:
- UN Day
- Family Day
- December Concert and Market
- Hosting new parent coffee mornings
"The CPG offers friendly, respectful support for the school community."
- keep the focus of the CPG on supporting school activities that benefit the children
- check personal agendas at the door
- the CPG actively encourages and includes all members of the school community
- respect everybody's ideas, opinions, cultural values and belief in alignment with the school's Mission, Vision, Value and Culture
- all levels of commitment and contributions are welcome
- have fun!
CPG meetings are usually held on the first Monday of every month in the school Hall from 9:00AM onwards. Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied, so it is a good opportunity to come along and have a cuppa and a chat.
We are always in search of new volunteers for a variety of projects. Whether you are available for a 'one off' session or able to commit regularly, we need your help! Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Homeroom teachers may wish to work with a Classroom Parent during an academic year. Classroom Parents often help with a variety of activities throughout the year and act as a liaison between the classroom teacher and other class parents. Generally, the Classroom Parent will assist with finding volunteers to help on field trips, organizing coffee mornings for parents outside of school, and assisting with different school projects when requested.
